Credit Risk Management Conference by ICAP Romania and ICAP Bulgaria
On June 14th in Bucharest and on June 15th in Sofia the 7th Credit Risk Management Conference took place, organized by ICAP Romania and ICAP Bulgaria respectively. For the seventh consecutive year both events hosted renowned international and local keynote speakers – experts in the field of credit risk and attracted an audience of more than 400 C-level executives. During the conference in Bucharest, Armen Dallakyan, Vice President – Senior Analyst from Moody's Investors Service evaluated the credit perspective of the CEE Banks in Romania, while Lukasz A. Olszewski, Head of Business Development at Standard & Poor's discussed managing risks through credit ratings in a changing market environment, at the event in Sofia. These in-depth analyses of the 2 countries were framed by the presentation of best practices in credit risk management and data, by Anthony Scriffignano, Senior Vice President & Chief Data Scientist of Dun and Bradstreet, as well as the presentation by Myrto Kyriakidou, Director Credit Risk Services from ICAP Group on the role of Credit Risk Assessment in the decision making process.
The content of both conferences was enriched also by various presentations on the subjects of managing risk by representatives of the sector for credit insurance (Atradius and Euler Hermes), financial institutions (National Bank of Romania, Banca Transilvania) as well as panel discussions on the most relevant risk management topics faced by businesses today.
